Imperial, MO — There was an early-morning accident along I-55 in Imperial last Friday, May 29, 2015 that left a man on a motorcycle with very serious injuries. This happened near Imperial Main Street at about 1:30 a.m. that morning and the man was identified only as 24 years old.
The news says that he was riding his Harley-Davidson bike south on I-55 that Friday when it somehow lost control while he changed lanes. The bike then slid across the highway and landed on its side, which ejected the young man.
He was badly injured, despite wearing a helmet, and was rushed to a hospital. At the last update, he was in serious condition and the Missouri Highway Patrol also noted that alcohol needed to be investigated as a possible factor.
Update: the man was reportedly arrested and charged with DWI.
