In an accident like this, where who’s at fault isn’t immediately clear, the investigation is going to be even more important. Remember, witnesses leave the scene and forget what they saw. Skid marks on the road fade. Surveillance footage is erased and re-used. If you think about it, things start working against the victim from the moment the accident ends. It’s important that evidence be collected as soon as possible after and accident. It’s going to be key in proving who’s responsible for what’s happened.
