Update: Apparently, this driver was ID’d as Raymond Dorval, 51, and he is suspected of being under the influence at the time of this accident, in addition to other traffic violations.
Weymouth, MA — There was an accident along Front Street in Weymouth this past Saturday (June 20, 2015) that left a dump truck driver injured. Though it’s not quite clear how this happened yet, the police said that a large green dump truck accidentally overturned, injuring the driver.
This was around 2:00 p.m. in front of a residential home. The driver had been transporting what looks like sand or gravel that afternoon when something went wrong and the truck flipped over.
He was injured and helped out of the truck by the house’s owner. The truck driver was then taken to a hospital, but his condition & name weren’t released.
He is an employee of Weymouth, but city officials haven’t made any kind of statement so far that might explain why this accident happened.
