Verona, NY — A man was critically injured in a single-vehicle car accident in Verona, New York, on Thursday, June 18, 2015. The accident took place on Rome New London Road, around 2:00 in the afternoon.
Four people were traveling in a passenger car when the driver, identified as 23-year-old Amber Jachimek, swerved and drove off the shoulder of the road. The car rolled over, coming to a stop up against a utility pole.
Jackimek’s two small children, ages 1 and 2, were sitting in the back seat. They, along with their mother and front-seat passenger Eric Davis were all taken to Rome Memorial Hospital.
Jachimek and the children were soon released. David suffered critical injuries and was transferred to Upstate Medical Center.
The accident is currently being investigated.
