AMHERST COUNTY, VA — Rhonda Dunn was identified by Virginia State Highway Patrol as the woman that died in an accident with a semi-truck in Amherst County, Virginia on Wednesday, June 17th, 2015. Local news that the accident happened at about 7:30 Wednesday morning.
Police with details of the accident investigation think that 51-year-old Rhonda Dunn died when the car she was driving and an 18-wheeler collided on Highway 501. Investigators think that the car crossed into the path of the truck from the lanes of oncoming traffic when the vehicles collided head-on.
Dunn was pronounced dead following the crash.
Investigators are still looking into the exact details of what caused the crash.
