Accidents like this can be very difficult for those injured, because you typically have one auto insurance policy that is now responsible for injuries sustained by more than 20 people. Anyone who’s ever had medical bills to pay in the past knows that they tend to add up very quickly. And when you’re dealing with several people, a typical $30,000 policy isn’t going to go very far. This can sometimes create a mad dash to the courthouse, with victims trying to be the first in line. So again, it can be a difficult situation. However, if an investigation of the accident shows that the driver of the bus was in any way responsible for the accident, then the bus can be held partially liable, which would also provide some means of recourse for those hurt.
