Huntsville, TX — A mother and her son were both hospitalized after a car accident in Huntsville, Texas, on Saturday, June 6, 2015. The accident took place in the 2600 block of FM 980, around 1:30 in the afternoon.
Amber VanRiper and her son Jonathan were in an accident with an oncoming pickup truck. Officials don’t yet know exactly how the accident happened. However, both VanRiper and her son were sent to Memorial Hospital for their injuries.
Since the accident, Jonathan VanRiper was released and able to go home. Amber VanRiper remains in the hospital and has undergone extensive surgery.
