PONTIAC, MI — State Police have named Tabatha Brown as the toddler that was killed in an accident with an accused drunk driver that happened in Pontiac, Michigan on Friday, April 17th, 2015. Reports out of Oakland were not clear on the time the accident was reported.
3-year-old Tabatha Brown died when the vehicle she was in was hit by another car near the intersection of Woodward Avenue and South Boulevard. Police suspect that a vehicle ran a stop light and collided with an SUV at a high rate of speed.
Brown was fatally injuries in the crash. The driver of the vehicle that ran the stop was later identified as 24-year-old Ieshia Barnes, who currently faces murder charges in connection with the accident. Reports indicated that Barnes’ blood alcohol level was nearly twice the legal limit of .08.
Michigan State Police handled the investigation with the help of Pontiac Police.
