Luckily the worker involved here landed on a piece of scaffolding and didn’t fall all the way to the ground. This accident could have turned out much worse than it did. I wonder what sort of safety equipment was being used here. I wonder if that’s something that Jose Contractors — the victim’s employer — has made a substantial investigation in. I read about accidents like this all the time. It’s not like falling off a roof is a possibility no one could possibly plan for. I don’t think that construction workers should constantly have to worry about something like this. They should be able to earn a living without risking their lives.
