LAFAYETTE, IN — Tippecanoe County officials have identified Ashley Wood as the passenger that died in an accident with an alleged drunk driver in Lafayette, Indiana on Sunday, May 31st, 2015. Reports out of Lafayette said that thea ccident happened sometime Sunday night.
At this time, police believe 21-year-old Ashley Woods was killed when the pickup truck she was a passenger in crashed in the 5900 block of Co Rd 150 South. The police said that the vehicle rolled in the accident, but did not clarify how many vehicles may have been involved, or how the accident happened.
Woods was ejected from the truck as it rolled and died from her injuries.
The driver was later identified as 25-year-old Ryan Zipfel, who currently faces drunk driving related charges stemming from the accident.
The investigation is being handled by Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Officials.
