Golden Glades, FL — There was a serious wreck reported early Monday morning of this week, June 8, that claimed the life of a person in a black Honda. The Florida Highway Patrol said that they think the Honda was cut off by another driver on I-95 that morning and forced to collide with an 18-wheeler truck.
This happened on I-95 near the Golden Glades interchange at about 9:45 a.m. on Monday, the FHP reported.
According to them, the Honda had been driving north along I-95 morning when another car swerved in front of it and cut the Honda off. To avoid a wreck, the Honda apparently swerved toward the shoulder, but lost control.
The small black Honda then spun out and crashed into a passing 18-wheeler, which killed the Honda’s driver. The 18-wheeler’s driver, later identified as 59-year old Gregory Chin, wasn’t harmed.
As of Monday afternoon, the FHP appears to still be searching for the hit-and-run driver. No names have been released.
