Commentary:
I’m a little surprised that this garbage truck driver didn’t cause more damage, given the size difference between a sedan and a large commercial truck. However, that doesn’t mitigate the fact that this driver made a very crucial error in judgement and must now face the consequences. Further, the company that hired may also have some skin in the game, so to speak, as Texas law holds employers responsible for their employees’ actions when on the job.
