Molalla, OR — Three people were hospitalized following a car accident in Molalla, Oregon, on Monday, June 1, 2015. The accident happened on Highway 213, just north of the city, around 3:45 in the afternoon.
Police identified Jason Shaw as the driver of a 2003 Honda Civic who fell asleep behind the wheel. He drifted into the oncoming lane of traffic and crashed into a Chevrolet Impala being driven by Janet Wollam.
Also inside Wollam’s vehicle was passenger Barbara Mendenhall. Emergency workers took both women to Oregon Health & Science University for minor injuries.
Shaw was also taken to OHSU for potential life-threatening injuries.
The accident is being investigated and police say that charges are possible.
