Chenango, NY — A school bus driver was injured in an accident with a minivan in Chenango, New York, on Tuesday, June 2, 2015. The accident took place on Smith Hill Road, around 8:45 in the morning.
Cindy Wilcox was driving a school bus with 12 students from Harpursville High School. As she was driving, a Dodge Caravan being driven by Katarina Stockton lost control and drove into her lane, colliding head-on with the bus.
None of the students were injured in the accident. Stockton suffered minor injuries and was taken to Wilson Hospital. Wilcox was suffering from neck and back pain and taken to Lourdes Hospital.
Police have ticketed Stockton for failing to reduce speed, as well as driving in the opposite lane.
