Commentary
In a press ocnference addressing this accidnent, Larry Watkins, the Superintendent of Interim Flint school said, “We are currently working with the police and fire departments to help them through their investigation. Our properties should never be trespassed on or our buildings entered.” I have to ask, what steps have they taken to make sure that these properties can’t be trespassed on? I just have to wonder if this accident could have been prevented. When a structure like this is just left vacant in the middle of a neighborhood, it seems like the chances of someone getting on the property and hurting themselves is going to be pretty high.
