Austin, TX — There was a bad car accident in north Austin that involved several vehicles this past Monday afternoon, June 1, 2015. Police said that a stopped vehicle in the northbound lanes of I-35 near Wells Branch Parkway caused an accident with several other vehicles, leaving three women and a little girl with serious injuries.
This happened around 2:30 p.m. on Monday afternoon, June 1.
A car was headed north on I-35 when the driver suddenly stopped, causing the vehicle behind it to crash. Then, another car came along and hit those two vehicles.
All in all, three women had to be rushed to UMC Brackenridge for what appeared to be serious injuries. A young girl under 10 years old also had to be taken to Dell Children’s Medical Center for serious injuries.
Right now, it’s not clear which vehicle the injured women were in and the APD said they’re doing their best to investigate this and find out why the first driver stopped on the interstate that afternoon.
