Dallas, TX: Car Drives off Helipad at Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, Driver Injured
www.wfaa.comDallas, TX — A drier in a red car somehow managed to drive off the edge of the helipad at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center this past weekend. No names were released, but it appears the driver was badly injured. Right now, not many details about what happened are being released, but it took place around 11:00 p.m. on Friday night, May 29, 2015. A 28-year old man in a red car allegedly rammed through the security gates on the roof of the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center until he got onto the helipad.
The car then drove off the edge and landed on Lamar Street, sustaining incredible damage.
The 28-year old man driving the car was rushed to a hospital, but his condition isn’t being released right now. It doesn’t appear anybody on the ground was harmed by the falling car.

I was actually a couple cars back from this wreck, one of the first on the scene, and helped administer CPR on the victims. The truck driver was going way too fast, but it was actually his trailer that swung around and hit the suv, the semi-truck ended in the median.

At the company that I work for, e deal with monitoring construction activity and work around trenches and all sorts of construction equipment/vehicles. I sometimes wonder if construction companies have enough safety training to inform employees of how to protect themselves while on the job.
