HAYTI, MO — Officials from the Missouri State Highway Patrol named Anthony Jackson as the driver of the SUV that was hurt in an accident with a semi-truck just outside Hayti, Missouri on Saturday, May 30th, 2015. Official police reports said that the accident took place at about 9:05 Saturday morning.
Right now, state police think that 48-year-old Anthony Jackson was hurt when the SUV he was driving and a semi-truck collided in the southbound lanes of Interstate 55. Investigators have reason to believe that the SUV may have driven off the side of the road when it collided with the side of the 18-wheeler, causing the SUV to roll and hit a number of barrier cables.
Jackson was taken to hospital via helicopter where he was being treated for serious injuries.
State Patrol officers are still looking into the cause of the accident at this time.
