Las Vegas, NV — A pedestrian was hospitalized after being hit by a vehicle in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Friday, May 29, 2015. The accident took place on Interstate 15, near the intersection with Sahara Avenue, around 12:30 in the afternoon.
Police say that the unidentified pedestrian was trying to cross the freeway at the time. A Honda CRV swerved to avoid hitting the man, but was then hit by a Toyota van.
Reports say that the collision sent the man across the freeway. He was helped by emergency personnel responding to the accident before being taken to a local hospital.
Officials say that the man may be ticketed for trying to cross the freeway.
The accident is currently being investigated.
