Ottawa, OH — Two people were hospitalized following a car accident in Ottawa, Ohio, on Tuesday, May 26th, 2015. The accident happened at the intersection of Route 15 and Township Road 11.
Police identified Arlene McDougle as the driver of Buick LeSabre. McDougle failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection and was hit by Thomas Stant, who was traveling east on Route 15.
Emergency workers coming onto the scene had to extricate McDougle before both drivers were taken to St. Rita’s for treatment of their injuries.
It’s not clear if McDougle was charged in the accident.

Unfortunately, I hear about too many accidents just like this one, that easily could have been avoided had the drivers responsible for them been watching the road. Luckily, this accident was no where near as bad as it could have been. People were hurt yes, but too many people aren’t able to walk away from accidents like this one.
