Birmingham, AL — Two people were sent to the hospital following a car accident in Birmingham, Alabama, on Friday, May 29, 2015. The accident took place at the intersection of Montevallo Road and 4th Street, around 6:30 in the morning.
How the accident happened is unknown at this time. Reports say that a sedan and an SUV collided with one another beneath a railroad bridge.
The force of the collision caused the SUV to flip over, trapping at least one person inside. Emergency workers responding to the scene were able to remove everyone and transport them to a local hospital.
Investigators are currently examining the scene of the accident.

Unfortunately, we don’t know as much as we’d like to about what happened here. However, going off of what’s been reported on, it seems as if more than one person could have been in each of the vehicles involved. It’s important to remember that if a passenger is injured because of unsafe actions taken by the driver, then the driver can be held responsible for it, just like they would be held responsible for anyone inside any other vehicle that they had caused an accident with.
