Council Bluffs, IA — A motorcyclist was hospitalized following a single-vehicle accident in Council Bluffs, Iowa, on Wednesday, May 27, 2015. The accident took place around 6:30 in the afternoon, near the split between interstates 29 and 80.
The man hurt in the accident has been identified as Daniel Sample. Witnesses to the crash told police that Sample was speeding along the interstate and lost control of his bike. He drove off the road and the bike flipped, landing on top of him.
Sample was seriously injured and taken to Nebraska Medical Center in critical condition. Some reports have said that he’s currently in a coma.
No other injuries have been reported. The accident is still being investigated.
