Bensalem, PA — There was a serious accident along the PA Turnpike on Saturday morning, May 2, 2015 that left one driver dead and four construction workers injured. This happened early in the morning on the turnpike when the driver of a dark blue or black sedan lost control and crashed into a work zone.
The news said this took place in the eastbound lanes near the Bensalem exchange. There were four workers in a construction zone that morning, one in a truck, two picking up cones, and one loading cones into a truck.
As they were working that morning, a driver in a Nissan came upon them and failed to stay in his lane, crashing into the workers.
The accident killed the car’s driver and critically injured one of the construction workers. The other three construction workers were taken to a local hospital for less serious injuries.
The news later said they were working for Meco Construction and for PKF Mark III. So far, none of the names have been released yet and it’s not clear why the Nissan’s driver failed to control his car that morning.
