Abilene, TX — A woman riding on the backseat of a large Harley-Davidson style motorcycle was badly injured this past weekend after accident on the Loop 322. Police said that at about 6:00 p.m. on Sunday evening, May 24, a black motorcycle lost control on Loop 322 near Treadaway Boulevard and crashed, ejecting the woman riding on the back and leaving her with serious injuries.
This happened in the westbound lanes, the news reported. The details of how the wreck are still being investigated, but it appears that the man riding the bike simply lost control of the bike and drove off the side of Loop 322, crashing down the embankment below.
The bike came to rest on its right side. The man riding suffered minor injuries but the woman who was riding as his passenger suffered injuries so severe that the paramedics said she couldn’t speak when being admitted to the hospital that evening.
More details will be released later.
