Brentwood, NY — There was a car wreck in a residential area of Brentwood on Monday of this week (May 25, 2015) that left a woman with serious injuries and a man facing potential DUI charges. Police said that Elia Treminio-Martinez, 38, was injured and taken to a hospital after 25-year old Jose Trigueros lost control of his car late Monday night and crashed.
The accident I’m talking about happened just before 10 p.m. on Monday night, at the intersection of Prospect Drive and Eastern Avenue.
Jose Trigueros was driving along Eastern Avenue that night with Treminio-Martinez as his passenger when he lost control on a turn and crashed into a tree.
His car was badly damaged and Treminio-Martinez had to be rushed to a hospital for injuries and broken bones. Her condition was said to be stable on Monday night, but her injuries were described as serious.
Jose Trigueros has since been arrested for allegedly being under the influence of alcohol at the time.
