Commentary:
Even though the news report does not even mention the name of the road where the accident happened, it still gives us enough detail to construct our own theories as to who may be responsible. If the truck came upon a stationary vehicle, I can’t imagine too many scenarios that would excuse the tractor-trailer from fault. Truck drivers go through significantly more training than regular drivers, and this training includes keeping out a watchful eye, keeping a controllable speed, and keeping their following distance at a range where they can swerve or stop to avoid the accident. If I were willing to bet, I’d say that one of these wasn’t exercised in this accident.
