BRONX, NY — New York State Police identified Dominick Deluca as the worker that died in a construction accident in Bronx, New York on Wednesday, May 13th, 2015. Several news reports out of Manhattan said that the accident happened at about 8:30 Wednesday morning.
54-year-old Dominick Delcua died when he fell from a 15-foot height while working on a home project on Webster Avenue in the 1400 block. Authorities said that Deluca fell and struck his head on the pavement.
EMS rushed Deluca to Bronx Lebanon Hospital where he eventually died.
Officials said that the scaffolding at the work site did not meet safety code standards.
The investigation is still ongoing.
