Commentary
Obviously, fleeing the scene of an accident like this is never a good idea. It’s a criminal act, and show’s complete disregard for the person you’ve just injured, or in many cases killed. So now, in addition to the criminal charges this driver will very likely have pressed against him, he’ll be facing a claim from the woman he hit. Police are even discussing the possibility of action against a passenger in the vehicle, who may have told the driver to leave the scene after the accident. Things like this should be a lesson to people. Follow the law, and help those you hurt.
