PITTSBURGH, PA — One man was taken to the hospital after an accident involving a tractor-trailer in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, May 12th, 2015. News reports said that the accident happened sometime Tuesday afternoon.
At this time, police think that one man was hurt when a Jeep and an 18-Wheeler collided under unspecified circumstances. The news report loosely suggested that one of the vehicles may have crossed into the lanes of oncoming traffic when the two collided.
The driver of the Jeep had to be cut from the SUV and was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Public Safety Officials were still investigating the accident.

Commentary:
If the news’ theory that one of the vehicles crossed over the center line of the road, then whichever vehicle did the crossing over is more than likely going to face the biggest portion of the fault in this accident. Has anybody looked to see if there were any tire marks that could have shown which vehicle crossed? Is the debris from the collision scattered primarily in the victim’s lane, or the trucks? There are a lot of details missing from this news report and it gives me the sneaking suspicion that the right questions aren’t being asked about what happened.
