Commentary
Luckily, this accident wasn’t as bad as it could have been. However, there were some injuries sustained. In these cases, the driver is often held liable for injuries sustained by passengers. While some sort of mechanical defect can cause an accident like this, it’s often the case that it’s caused by driver inattention. If a driver isn’t paying attention, they’re failing to live up to the obligation they owe their passengers, and can be held responsible for any injuries they suffer as a result.
