Pharr, TX — The news reports in Pharr covered a story last week that involved a large 18-wheeler truck on U.S. 83 Expressway. They said that an 18-wheeler truck and a van collided on U.S. 83 near the I-69C exchange, which left two people in the van injured.
Unfortunately, not very many details have been released so far and we’re not sure what happened.
As of Wednesday, May 7, the news said that an 18-wheeler had been driving along U.S. 83 Expressway when another vehicle swerved and cut the rig off. The 18-wheeler skidded to avoid an accident and, instead, crashed into a nearby van. The driver that initially cut the 18-wheeler off drove away and did not return.
Though the damage to both vehicles was quite extreme, only two people in the van were harmed and they were in good condition. One of the victims was a woman, but no other details are available right now.
Hopefully, more information about what happened will be released.
