Geneseo, Illinois — A young woman, a teenager, and an infant were all slightly injured outside of Geneseo after their car was rear-ended by a box truck on I-80. This happened last week (Wednesday, May 6, 2015) about 5 miles west of Geneseo and the young woman was later identified as 21-year old Desirae Miller. The other two victims were a 17-year old woman and a 3-week old infant.
Police said that all three were in a car driven by 53-year old Donn Ensley last Wednesday morning around 8:45 a.m. when they were rear-ended by a box truck.
The details released by the police weren’t very helpful and didn’t explain how or why the semi-truck rear-ended Ensley’s car. They only confirmed that a box truck driven by 24-year old Trajche Bojkov crashed into the back of Ensley’s car, injuring 21-year old Miller, the 17-year old girl, and the baby inside.
Fortunately, none of the injuries were considered serious ones.
After Ensley’s car was rear-ended, she was able to maintain control and steer back onto the interstate after the box truck pushed her off.
Later, Bojkov was charged by police for failure to control his speed.

Commentary:
It’s a good thing that this accident wasn’t more serious because this truck driver would probably be facing a lot more serious charges had he killed these people in the car. I’m wondering why he hit the back of the car in the first place, of course. Was he not paying attention to the road? A thorough investigation should be done here because I wouldn’t be surprised if there were some things that the news reports simply missed.
