WACO, TX — Waco Police Department representatives have named Seargeant Scott Holt as the officer that was hurt in a two-vehicle accident that happened in Waco, Texas on Tuesday, May 5th, 2015. Reports out of central Texas said that the accident happened at around 1:25 Tuesday afternoon.
As of now, police think that Scott Holt was hurt when the police patrol vehicle he was driving was hit by another car while driving through the intersection of North 17th Street and Washington Avenue. Police said that Holt was responding to an emergency call with lights and sirens active when another vehicle struck the cruiser broadside in the intersection.
Holt was hurt in the accident. The driver of the other car was identified in the news report as Loraine Montgomery, who was also taken to the hospital with Officer Holt following the collision.
Police are still looking into the details of the accident at this time.
