Amarillo, TX — Police in Amarillo have confirmed that at least one person was injured in Thursday morning’s wreck on I-27 involving the Borger ISD school van. The accident happened at about 8:00 a.m. (April 30, 2015) and involved the school suburban, a semi-truck, and three other cars.
The reports released by the police don’t include many details about what caused the wreck or how it took place, but they said that it happened near 27th Avenue in the northbound lanes.
The total number of vehicles involved was five (5) and the Borger ISD white suburban had to be towed away afterwards by a truck. The person who was injured in the wreck wasn’t immediately identified and it’s not clear which vehicle they were in either.
The Borger ISD simply confirmed the fact that one of their vehicles was involved in the wreck, but didn’t mention if any students were in the van.
