Meta, MO — Police in Meta have identified the young man who was injured on the 1st of this month (Wednesday, April 1, 2015) as Caleb Wieberg, saying that he was hurt after his mini-bike was hit by a tractor.
This accident was reported at the intersection of Pine Street and 5th Street in Meta, they said, at about 10:45 a.m. that Wednesday morning. Allegedly, Wieberg had been riding south along Pine Street that morning when he came to the intersection with 5th Street and failed to stop at his stop sign.
His mini-bike entered the intersection, where it was hit by a westbound tractor driven by Paul Libert. The accident didn’t hurt Libert, but Wieberg was flown to a Columbia hospital for his serious injuries. The police didn’t mention any further details.
