Poughkeepsie, NY — A woman was injured in a dump truck accident in Poughkeepsie, New York, on Friday, April 24, 2015. The accident took place on Route 44, near the intersection with Rochdale Road, around 9:30 in the morning.
Police say that a woman driving a Chevrolet Cavalier was traveling west on Route 44 when she crossed the road’s center line and sideswiped an eastbound Dodge Avenger. The Cavalier then went on to crash into a dump truck.
The woman in the Cavalier suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the dump truck was also injured and taken to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital.
The accident is currently being investigated.
