Mountainburg, AR — A man on a motorcycle was badly injured this past Saturday afternoon (April 25, 2015) at about 12:30 after he was involved in a wreck. Not many details were provided by the authorities, but it appears that this happened outside of Mountainburg, which is north of Alma.
A man on a motorcycle was riding along I-49 when something when wrong and he crashed his bike. The man had to be taken via helicopter to a hospital in Fayetteville, where he was treated for facial injuries and injuries to his hands.
It’s not clear if any other vehicles were involved. Hopefully, more details will be released later.

Commentary:
Motorcyclists are often blamed for accidents even when they’re not at fault. The prevailing thought, I’ve discovered, is that motorcyclists are all speedsters and reckless drivers. When accidents happen, people seldom think about road conditions being a factor or even a malfunction with the bike itself, they simple assume the rider was at fault and move on. I don’t know what really happened in this wreck, but it’s not a good idea to make assumptions until all the facts are gathered in.
