WOODBURY, NJ — Four children were hurt in an accident with an alleged drunk driver that was reported in Woodbury Heights, New Jersey on Tuesday, April 21st, 2015. According to multiple sources, the accident took place at about 8:00 Tuesday evening.
Four kids were taken to the hospital after a pickup truck struck them while they were playing in a yard in on an unspecified street in Woodbury Heights. Authorities with details of the accident said that a pickup truck left the road and drove into the yard, hitting the four kids before striking a number of trees.
The children were taken to the hospital with various injuries. The driver of the offending pickup truck was identified in the news report as 48-year-old Hector Rios, who currently faces drunk driving related charges stemming from the accident.
The investigation is ongoing at this time.
