Commentary:
From the way the news made the accident sound, I’m wondering which of the vehicles had the right of way at the time of the accident. Is it possible that the truck “pushed” to make a yellow light, or even possibly ran a red one? Is it possible that the truck driver misjudged the timing and spacing of the turn when he drove across traffic? Is it possible that the driver of the semi-truck simply didn’t look at all before proceeding? Personally, I think all of these are possible scenarios that need to be explored to get to the bottom of what actually happened in this accident. A closer look is much better than a passing glance by officials, so having your own, independent investigation conducted could show that the truck broke the law, or that the driver failed to keep out a watchful eye. Nobody is going to know for sure until somebody trained has a look though.
