Obviously, there’s no way to chart a meaningful way forward without knowing exactly who caused the accident. In cases like this, investigations are very important. Skid marks at the scene, data from the truck’s ECM, any surveillance footage that may have been recorded, and witness statements can help to create a very accurate picture of what happened in the final moments leading up to the accident, which can be key in figuring out who’s liable.
