Whenever I see an accident like this, I wonder if the driver had been drinking at a bar before the crash happened. This is important because Texas law says that establishments serving liquor aren’t allowed to serve those who are obviously intoxicated. It’s often the case that those who are intoxicated go out and get into accidents. Laws such as this were designed to help stop that from happening. Unfortunately, bars ignore this law all the time. If a bar over-served a customer who should have been cut off, and then that person went out and got into an accident, the bar can be held liable for it. I’m not saying that that’s definitely what happened here. Sometimes drivers have alcohol at home and just make poor decisions. But it’s something that should definitely be looked into.
