Commentary
School bus drivers are held to a really high standard for a couple of reasons. The first is that they’re transporting kids back and forth to school every single day. The second reason is that, with just a single mistake, they’re capable of causing a lot of pain and suffering, both emotional and physical. Because of this, anytime there’s an accident and a bus driver is suspected of having caused it, their capabilities behind the wheel have to be called into question. Anytime I see an accident like this, the question I always ask is, is this the first big mistake the driver made behind the wheel, or is this just the first one that caused an accident?
