3 People Injured after 3-Car Accident in Fort Smith, AR on Midland Blvd

Fort Smith, AR — There was an accident reported in Fort Smith this past weekend that left at least three people injured after an SUV allegedly ran a red light. The police there said that an SUV was driving south along Midland Boulevard this past Sunday afternoon (April 5, 2015) at about 2:00 p.m. when the driver allegedly ran the red light at S Street.
The SUV entered the intersection and collided with a Chevrolet Malibu, then a Toyota Camry. Nobody was killed in the accident, but three people were taken to hospitals with their injuries. Two were taken to a local hospital and one was sent to Sparks.
The driver of the SUV was reportedly charged for running the red light, said the news.

I was actually a couple cars back from this wreck, one of the first on the scene, and helped administer CPR on the victims. The truck driver was going way too fast, but it was actually his trailer that swung around and hit the suv, the semi-truck ended in the median.

At the company that I work for, e deal with monitoring construction activity and work around trenches and all sorts of construction equipment/vehicles. I sometimes wonder if construction companies have enough safety training to inform employees of how to protect themselves while on the job.
