Commentary:
Does anybody know more about this accident? I’ve seen one news report call the incident an accidental shooting, and considering this was a munitions facility, the implications are pretty wide. Did a firearm discharge on the premises? Did machinery that makes the ammunition heat up to the point where it caused a bullet to discharge? The news is extremely sparse on details, so if anybody knows more than the news reports do, I’d be interested to hear what happened. Anywhere that stores munitions or combustible/explosive materials at all needs to be one of the safest working environments that can be achieved, so if a mishap happened with these materials, something had to have gone wrong. I just want to know what.
