Commentary
This accident happened at 2:00 in the morning, so already I have to wonder if these two were at a bar before the crash took place. Why would this matter? Texas law prohibits establishments that serve alcohol from serving those who are obviously intoxicated. If someone is drunk, the bar knows that, and refuses to cut them off, then the bar can be held liable if that person goes out and gets into an accident. Unfortunately, this is a law that gets ignored all the time. Which is a shame, because laws like this actually help what is a big problem in this country. If a bar continues to serve someone who’s obviously drunk, they need to be held accountable for it. Because of this, it’s important to discover whether or not the victims in this accident were at a bar before the accident.
