Commentary:
Even if there isn’t an abundance of information about what happened in this accident, or who may be at fault, on the chance that the school bus caused the crash, people need to understand what they may be facing when bringing a claim against a government entity like a school district. The government has set up the laws and rules when it comes to who can file a claim, who can a claim be filed against, and for what, so it really shouldn’t surprise anybody that the government has made it a much more difficult process to file a claim against their own agencies than a private company. People need to understand that the time limits to file a claim are often significantly shorter than those dealing with private companies. Moving swiftly is the best way to navigate the minefield of pitfalls the government uses to swat away claims, even if they are valid.
