Underwood, IA — A truck driver was hospitalized following an accident that took place in Underwood, Iowa, on Thursday, March 26, 2015. The accident took place on Interstate 80, around 12:30 in the morning.
According to local reports, Steven Cain was headed west on I-80 when he noticed that the lights on his trailer were not coming on. He pulled onto the side of the road to check what the problem might be, but pulled to far off the road.
The ground just off the road was too soft and the truck rolled onto its side and into a ditch.
Emergency workers took Cain to CHI Mercy Council Bluffs Hospital. There’s been no information on his current condition.
