Commentary:
With any kind of accident where a large commercial vehicle is damaged or totaled by a passenger car, the damages usually outweigh the car driver’s insurance policy limits, and people often wonder what is done in these cases. Well, under insured motorist coverage is a policy that steps in and bridges the gap between the offending driver’s upper policy limits, and the actual cost of the damage. This comes especially in handy when exotic sports cars, commercial vehicles, or buildings are destroyed by car accidents.
