Dacula, GA — One person was hospitalized following an accident with a garbage truck in Dacula, Georgia, on Monday, March 16, 2015. The accident took place on Highway 316, around 7:15 in the morning.
News reports don’t offer up many details as to how the accident happened. Pictures from the scene make it appear as if the car involved in the accident crashed into the back of the garbage truck. The pictures show the car with extensive damage to its front end.
Reports say that the driver of the vehicle had to be extricated from his vehicle with special equipment before being transported to the hospital. The man’s name, as well as his current condition, are unknown at this time.
The investigation into the accident is underway.
