Elmira, NY — A woman was injured in an accident in Elmira, New York, on Friday, January 23, 2015. The accident happened on East Gray Street, at the intersection of Baldwin Street.
The woman involved in the crash said that she was crossing the intersection, when a pickup truck ran a stop sign and she collided with the rear of the vehicle.
Police responding to the scene say that the driver of the truck is at fault for the crash. The driver of the truck said that he was looking at directions when the accident happened.
The extent of the woman’s injuries was not immediately clear. Reports say that she was spotted sitting in front of the Elks Club, groaning and obviously in pain.
The names of those involved in the accident were not released. Police are continuing to investigate.
